I like science fiction (space operas) and fantasy (especially about dragons). I am not stuck with just favorite authors. After all they were unknown authors before they became favorites. I do read book reviews by people who have actually read the book and base my selection on what has been said about the book.

I enjoyed the questions. They reminded me of situations I think we all face as lovers of the written word.

I admit, I frequently judge a book by it's cover, but if I didn't, there wouldn't be time for anything but reading. I usually trust my best friend when she gives me book suggestions, but I always read the book jacket or back cover anyway. I spend a lot of time on bookstore websites, looking for books to put on my "to read" list. I like books for teens, but not currently popular teen books (think 'Twilight'). Elizabeth Scott, Sarah Dessen, Simone Elkeles, etc.
